Hello, my name is Alyssa Gruett and I am a Board Certified art therapist, a licensed professional counselor, a licensed art educator, a registered yoga teacher, and a reiki practitioner.
As an Art Therapist, I believe in the healing powers of the expressive arts and I know that engaging in the creative process allows people to explore and express personal thoughts, feelings, and beliefs in a healthy way. Art allows us to explore our inner depths, places where words alone cannot go, and it provides a way for us to relate our personal experiences to each other.
When we share our art we feel seen, heard, and more deeply connected to others. When we take the time to heal and process our own pain, we can begin to have a greater understanding for another person’s experience. Through this empathy, our relationships and our community begins to heal.

If you are interested in learning more about the mental, emotional, or spiritual healing powers of the creative arts, please reach out to me. I would love to talk with you about your personal art experiences or how we can provide more art making opportunities within our local community.
